Our designers are skilled at identifying ways to do things smarter (think cost efficiently) and achieving the right balance of practicality and aesthetics. Our Quantity Surveyors will then price your concept plans to give you a more accurate cost of the project.
Our concept plan process involves four stages.
OUR CONCEPT PROCESS
This is an opportunity to dip your toe in the water before committing to any concept drawings. One of our sales consultants will meet you at home for a no-obligation assessment of the scale of your project, and to get an understanding of your tastes, wants and must-haves.
We then give you an initial ballpark cost indication and, with your signed agreement, move on to the next stage of bringing your ideas to life with concept drawings.
After meeting with you at home and taking into account your earlier discussions with our sales consultant, our in-house designer will begin creating the initial design plans – including floor plans, a site plan, elevations and perspective drawings.
We also provide you with an update on the project cost.
Once we have firmed up on the designs, we will meet with you to go through more precise specifications.
Our quantity surveyors then apply a sophisticated pricing model to give you a more accurate cost of the project.
Before we move on to construction drawings and start building, we make final design and costing changes, and complete the building contract documentation.
By this stage, we’ve spent $5000 – $6000 carrying out the feasibility study, and preparing the concept drawings and pricing.
If you decide you don’t wish to go ahead with your renovation, we charge a nominal fee of $1500 for these services. If you do decide to proceed, your concept plans are FREE.
